Columbia Seeds to release 4 new tall fescues in Fall 2008!
Columbia Seeds will be releasing 4 new varieties of turf type tall fescue this fall. The new varieties are Talladega, Darlington, Toccoa and Tahoe II. All will be available in limited quantities this fall. Tahoe II has shown to express rhizome production while Talladega, Darlington and Toccoa all offer aggressive tillering to help repair damaged areas.

Palo Verde perennial ryegrass was selected from the best plants of Ecologic perennial ryegrass, another top quality product marketed by Columbia Seeds. This variety is ideal for overseeding dormant warm season grasses in the fall. Palo Verde perennial ryegrass has many applications for use including home lawns, commercial properties, sports fields, low maintenance situations, golf course tees, fairways & roughs. this variety was selected based on upright growth, darker color, higher tillering rate and disease resistance.

Yes, it’s true…………there is a new voice and employee at Columbia Seeds. We are pleased to introduce you to Brenda Voge.
Brenda will be taking over phone duties, help with processing your orders in a timely, yet efficient, manner and also relieving Mary of various administrative duties. Brenda has a degree in Agriculture Business Management from Linn - Benton Community College located in Albany, OR. She has plans to be married on July 18, 2008. All this was done in order to provide the best customer service you have come to expect from Columbia Seeds.

Jeffries to Lead Sales at Columbia Seeds, LLC
Ryan Jeffries joins Columbia
Seeds, LLC as National Sales Manager. Responsible for nationwide sales and
marketing, he’ll remain in Denver, Colorado and lead the continued growth
in turf and forage grass products. Most recently Products Manager for Arkansas
Valley Seeds, he began his career with Research Seeds in St. Joseph, Missouri.
“I’m excited to help local and regional seed distributors build
their businesses and offer their customers the highest quality and most cost-effective
turf and forage grass solutions,” he said.
Jeffries earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Agri-business from Missouri
Western State College. He is actively involved with industry associations,
serving the last year as vice-president of the Rocky Mountain Regional Turfgrass
Association.
